Making Slime
For Science week Year 2 carried out an experiment looking at solids and liquids. We added water and food colouring to cornflour and noticed the change in its state when being rough or gentle with it.
Computing
Linking to our class story 'Grace and Family' we have been researching Gambian crocodiles and creating fact files using purple mash.
3D shapes.
We have been naming different 3D shapes, as well as identifying their properties. We carried out investigations to find out which 3D shapes roll and stack on top of one another. We found that shapes with corners did not roll and shapes with flat edges can be stacked.
BIG Maths
Every Friday we enjoy doing our "Big Maths: Beat that" challenges.
Spring Term Science
In Science this term our Topic is 'Healthy Me!'. We are learning about how we keep healthy. We have started our topic by thinking about what we do to keep healthy and the effect different exercise activities have on our bodies.
