As part of our Moral, Social, Spiritual and Cultural (MSSC) curriculum we have a special (‘Messy’) day every half term where the whole school join together to gain greater awareness of different issues and aspects of life. Class teachers then plan creative activities for the whole day on the theme, which are relevant to the age of their pupils.
Each ‘Messy’ Day starts with a whole school assembly so pupils understand the theme of the day.
Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development, along with a well-planned and structured programme of personal development, underpins all our work and is monitored by the whole staff team. This we teach through our six core ‘Cumwhinton Values’ which are: Citizenship, Respect; Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Trustworthiness.
